The New History Page: Your Personal Search Engine for Discovery

One of the biggest frustrations our users shared was that once they found a great post, it was sometimes hard to find it again later. Or, they wanted to search within their own results to find something very specific.

We have heard you loud and clear. We are introducing the brand new History Page. This is much more than just a list of things you have searched for. It is a powerful tool designed to help you find the exact content you need without the noise of the main app.

Important Note: To use the advanced features on this page, you first need to perform a regular search for posts, reels, or tiktoks using our main tool. Once RecentReborn finds those posts for you, they are saved to your archive. The AND logic and advanced filters then allow you to search through this personal archive to find specific gems within your results.

Advanced Search with AND Logic

Have you ever tried to find something very specific on Instagram lately? It is like looking for a needle in a haystack. If you search for #hiring, you get millions of posts from all over the world.

With our new History Page, you can now combine hashtags using AND logic on your archived results. This is a game changer. Now you can search your history for #hiring AND #healthcare. Instantly, you see the people actually looking for help in your field from the results you previously gathered. This works for anything. Think about searching your archive for #photography AND #beginner, or #newbook AND #fantasy.

Filters for Post Type and Date

Sometimes you are only looking for a quick video. Other times, you want a beautiful photo or a deep dive on TikTok. Our new history page lets you filter your archived results by post type. You can choose to see only posts, only reels, or only TikToks.

We also added a date filter. If you know you saw a great post from a new comic artist last Tuesday, you can now filter your history to show only posts from that specific day. No more scrolling forever.

Deep Dive into Authors and Hashtags

When you find a creator you love, we want to make it easy for you to support them. On the new History Page, you can see the author of every post and jump straight to their profile with one click.

We also show you every single hashtag used in that post. If you see a great painting and notice the artist used #watercolor_daily, you can click that tag right there in your history to start a new search. It is a continuous loop of discovery that keeps you connected to the niches you care about.

The 90-Day Archive: A Tool for Growth

We have always offered a free version of RecentReborn because we believe everyone should be able to see recent posts. That will never change. For our free users, the History Page keeps your results for 24 hours. This is great for daily browsing and making sure you can find that post you saw this morning.

But for our power users, creators, and businesses, we knew we had to go further. Our paid subscribers now get a massive 90-day archive.

Why does 90 days matter? Because relationships and trends take time to build. If you are a business using RecentReborn to find leads, you want to be able to look back over the last three months. You can see who was posting about your niche in October and see how they are doing now in December.

This long window allows you to build a database of connections. You can track a specific hashtag over a whole season to see which creators are consistent and which topics are staying popular. For anyone serious about growing their Instagram presence, this 90-day archive is like having a private library of the most relevant content in your industry.

The RecentReborn Chrome Extension: Your New Shortcut

We want to make RecentReborn a part of how you use the web every day. You shouldn't have to change your habits just to find recent posts. That is why we built the RecentReborn Chrome Extension.

Right-Click and Discover

Have you ever been reading a blog post or a news site and seen a name or a hashtag that you wanted to check on Instagram? Usually, you have to open a new tab, go to Instagram, type it in, and then get frustrated because you only see "Top Posts."

With our Chrome extension, you just highlight the word, right-click, and choose "Search on RecentReborn." It takes you straight to the most recent posts for that word or tag. It is fast, simple, and it keeps you in your flow.

The "rr" Search Magic

We also added a feature for the people who love shortcuts. You can now use your browser's address bar as a search tool for RecentReborn. Just type "rr" followed by a space and the hashtag you want to see.

For example, if you want to see what is happening at a live event right now, just type "rr #liveevent" into your URL bar and hit enter. You will be taken directly to the latest posts. It is the fastest way on the internet to see what is happening right this second.

You can read more about how to set this up and all the other cool things the extension does in our dedicated Chrome Extension blog post.

A Better Home: Our New Dashboard

We believe that software should be easy to use. If you have to spend ten minutes figuring out where a button is, we haven't done our job. This month, we gave our dashboard a complete makeover.

The new design is focused on clarity. One of the first things you will see is your daily quota. We want you to know exactly how many searches you have used and how many you have left. If you are a subscriber, you will see your 10x quota reflected there clearly.

We also brought our blog directly into the app. We write these articles because we want you to succeed. Whether it is a guide on using #diy to find trending content or a story about how RecentReborn helps you find job openings, we want those tips to be easy to find. Now, the latest articles will appear right on your dashboard so you can learn while you work.

The Invisible Work: UX and Bug Fixes

A lot of the work we do is invisible, but you will feel it when you use our website. Our team has spent countless hours fixing small bugs and improving the overall speed.

We improved how results load, especially when you are looking at a mix of Instagram posts, Reels, and TikToks. Everything should feel snappier and more responsive. We also fixed some layout issues on mobile devices, making it easier for you to browse while you are on the go.

We are committed to making RecentReborn the best it can be. If you ever find a bug or have an idea for an improvement, please reach out. We are building this for you, and your feedback is what keeps us moving forward.

Remembering Why We Started

As we wrap up this final update of 2025, we want to go back to that message we found on Reddit. The user who was "still mad" that Instagram removed the recent tab. They were mad because they wanted to support beginners. They wanted to find real people.

Every feature we added this month was designed with that person in mind.

  • We added the History Page so you don't lose the beginners you find.

  • We added Advanced Search so you can find the specific niches where those beginners live.

  • We added the Chrome Extension so you can find real stories more often and more easily.

Instagram might want to show you the same "elites" over and over again. They might want to turn your feed into a marketplace of sponsored ads and mega-influencers. But we don't.

We believe that the best parts of the internet are the ones that haven't been discovered yet. The best friend you haven't met. The artist whose work you will one day hang on your wall. The small business that will solve your problem.

By using RecentReborn, you are choosing to look past the algorithm. You are choosing to see people for who they are, not for how many likes they have.

Thank you for being with us this year. Thank you for supporting us and for sharing our mission. We are so excited to see what you discover with these new tools.

I built RecentReborn because Instagram’s decision to hide recent posts made it impossible to find real people and small creators who are not already famous. My vision for 2026 is to restore the original soul of social media by giving everyone a fair chance to be discovered and supported through chronological search.
